Jess and Jess - pronouncing maori place names

Jess G and I made a short-ish presentation to try and help people when they pronounce place names around where we live.
We made a muck up with Ahaura and Arahura which are two different places and are also pronounced different.  We'll add a short video to correct this for you.
Thanks for watching : )

The Scotland Boundary

WALT: Writing narratives that will pull the reader's head into the story.
The Scotland boundary

O One sunny day on a Tourist's trip some clumsy tourists were out having their break when they thought to themselves ‘We need more, we want to explore this country so that’s what
we’re going to do.’ So they huddled up and set off for their journey.

C They came to a large paddock and thought ‘ What is this, we never see these at home’. They waited a while and then one little girl said “Why don’t we go through it, it can’t be that bad”. Some thought for a bit then jumped the fence “Let’s go”. Out of the blue arrived Farmer Lee with his ferocious dog Oscar holding a pitchfork in his palms. “What do we have here aye?” The tourists stood still, mouths open with a silent scream. What was going on should they run or will he be friendly. All thoughts ran through their heads hoping to think a of solution but it never came. “Your on ma property now, I can do whatever I like with ya” Suddenly A terrified girl just got out her phone and called the police but little did she know there was no reception. With disbelief she tried over and over and over again but it never worked.

S I had my eye on father and thought that he had done enough, so I tidied up and set out onto the path. It was a wee walk from the house and mother took the horses to town. Meanwhile dad must have been scaring the tourists because I could hear a loud scream about a mile away so I picked up my speed. In the distance I could hear sirens coming this way so I started running. I saw them in a clearing of bush so I headed in that direction.

O When I arrived dad had chased them back so there was another walk. I had caught up to them but I was so exhausted that I fell behind. I saw mother in the distance and she was very surprised and trotted over to see what was happening. “Whats happening here, who are they?” Dad explained what was happening but he told a completely different story. I rushed up saying that dad was scaring these lost tourist. She had believed mine side and she wrapped things up.

E The police arrived and found that they were tourists and took them back to town. Mum was FURIOUS, she was so embarrassed that her cheeks turned bright pink but she was relieved they were gone. The sun was starting to fade so we hopped on the horses and rode home and trust me I wish I had just walk ‘cause this was a noisy ride home.

R Dad finally built a sign  that said ‘If ya come on ma property you'll be sorry’ so that was a job done and mum got a carriage so we can use the horses when she is in town but I think I will have to do that job seeing you need to go past the police station and well the tourists, I think they will just stay away from here. I hope my life will be A LOT easier.
