Click on one of the two video links below. Once you have watched the video, go to your blog and, using full sentences, tell us: 1) The name of the animal the WWF is working to save. 2) What the WWF is doing to help the animal. 3) What, if any, success they have had protecting the animal.
Clip #1: Freshwater Seals
Clip #2: Tigers
I chose the Freshwater Seals
1) The name of the animal is the Saimaa ringed seal.
2) Building snow banks for the female to build a lair inside so she can have her pup inside instead of on the ice where most pups would dye.
3) They have helped to increase the population by helping the pups not dye at the very beginning.
Hi Jessica
ReplyDeleteThe WWF does such a fantastic job saving species around the world that are endangered. It is great to see the work that they are doing with these seals. I really do hope that they are able to make a difference. It does seems that they are having some success with it.
The population of the seals that we have in New Zealand must be huge. I was in Kaikoura last month and stopped to see all the seals on the coast there. There was a massive number of seals of all sizes there.
It is great to see you getting so many comments on you blog and that you are commenting on other blogs too.
Remember to make them at least three sentences long and you comment on something that the person has done.
Keep up the great work!
Until next time
Allie :)
