SLJ - Togs or Trackies?

Week 3 Day 1 Activity 1
On your blog, tell us what time of year you think is best for tourists for come and visit. Be sure to share at least three things that tourists could do while they were here in NZ.

I think that tourists should come during the Summer time because a lot of our native things are out.

Here are a couple activities for tourists -
- Go swimming
 - Visit Hobbiton
- Walk some of our many beautiful tracks

There are so many more I just can't list

  1. Hi Jessica!

Great work on this activity! I would pick the summertime, mostly because I love the sunny weather and visiting the beach - I would make sure to warn tourists about ebing sun smart though!

I like the activities you have listed to do too.
Do you have a favourite swim spot you could recommend?
I really enjoy swimming at my local river and there is a spot thats extra deep so you can jump into the river without hitting the bottom. :)

Visitng Hobbiton is a great idea, I took my friend from the UK there a couple years ago and it was so cool!
    Have you been there before?
I thought it was so cool to see all of the things they had built for the film and would definitely recommend it to any Lord of the Rings fans!

Walking some beautiful tracks is another goodie!I think we have so many great places to walk - Is there a track that you think is a 'must-visit' in New Zealand?
I think I would pick the Tongariro Crossing!

Great work Jessica - looking forward to your next post!

    1. Hi Ellee
Where i live there is a great swimming hole with a bridge, bank and cliff to jump off and a rope swing and a slide of the cliff into the water, But I would recommend swimming at back beach in New Plymouth, it's awesome there.
I Have never been to Hobbiton before but I have watched all the Hobbit and Lord of the rings movies. It looks very cool there.
I also think people should kayak the Abel Tasman, it is another way to see New Zealand beautiful scenery.
      Jess
